French school of the XIX century. "Two young people". Couple in gilded bronze. Empire style pedestal. Measurements: 30 cm. total height. Pair of gilded bronze statuettes, French style. They represent a maiden and a young peasant whose gestures and clothing complement each other: the slightly tilted heads, framed by wavy hair, adorn an oval face with almond-shaped eyes. Likewise, both wear a knotted kerchief around their necks, fitted jackets and bare feet. The figures, worked in round bulk, rest on a cylindrical base adorned with two mermaids characterized as harpies with wings and forked tails.
