Spanish school of the XIX century Following ZACARIAS GONZÁLEZ VELÁZQUEZ (Madrid, 1763 - 1863). "Annunciation". Oil on canvas. Presents breaks in the lower margin and generalized polychrome losses. Measurements: 41 x 33,5 cm. Devotional painting representing the biblical passage of the Annunciation. The archangel Gabriel is carrying a lily rod, appearing to Mary to announce her immaculate conception. Indicating to her the divine nature of her son, he points to heaven. A choir of seraphim witness the sacred event. In the way of resolving the bodies and in the chromatic luminosity of the whole, the influence of the religious painting of Zacarias Gonzalez can be appreciated. It presents breaks in the lower margin and generalized losses of polychromy.
