Sign-form brooch in yellow gold 750 thousandths, the upper part in the form of a spear holding a dragon and a panel adorned with painted enamel depicting a "femme nue à l'antique", the counter-enamel signed A. Meyer. A gold wire lantern hangs from the sign, 12.5 g. Eagle head hallmark. No jeweler's hallmark. Length 4.5 cm, height 5 cm. Enamel damage, lantern missing. Alfred Meyer (1832 - 1904) was a painter-enamelist who worked for major jewelers, notably Vever.
