A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD SILVER AND GOLD LACQUER SMOKING SET c.1900 A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD SILVER AND GOLD LACQUER SMOKING SET c.1900 Antique early 20th Century Japanese Meiji period very fine gold lacquer & silver smoking set (tabako-bon), boat shaped with a removable draw, lacquer is decorated with ocean waves and birds, rope shape handle terminating with realistically modeled tassels, silver container engraved with cherry tree flowers and bulb finials.
