The second volume is devoted to mammals and illustrated with 140 drawings by Victor Adam, with a classification by Cuvier, text by Buffon preceded by an introduction by Charles D'Orbigny. 41 hand-colored plates. Beautiful uniform blue half-chagrin bindings, spines with 4 nerves, boxes decorated with wide gilt frames, fine overall condition, slight rubbing; interiors with a few scattered freckles.
