Handsome autograph letter from the author to Monsieur Duquesnel (Félix Duquesnel), journalist and leading literary figure of the time. Bound in red half-chagrin with corners, gilt head, 5-ribbed spine with richly ornate caissons. Joints a little rubbed, but not seriously so. A fine copy. Letters from Louis Bouilhet are rare...
