[PARTITIONS MANUSCRITES] Romances with Guitar Accompaniment Charming album, entirely handwritten and carefully composed, with drawings and watercolors illustrating the various songs and scores. Bound in full cardboard with vellum spine (tail missing), title label pasted to front cover and title in black ink on spine. The album opens with a pencil drawing of a young woman, followed by a calligraphic title page featuring an illustrated vignette with the motto "Poésie, littérature, histoire, science", signed in pen on the lower right of the title page: André ... ? The set comprises 55 miscellaneous songs, comic operas, romances, tyroliennes, boleros etc., most of them on 2pp. Most on 2pp. (some on 6-8pp.) With header vignettes and cul-de-lampe, most different and all hand-drawn in harmony with the scores, some quite elaborate, including two in watercolor such as La petite couturière. Titles include La Dame Blanche, Aladin ou lampe merveilleuse, la Diavolo, Point n'aimerai, Le chant du muletier and more. With music by Boieldieu, Romagnesi, Auber, Amédée de Beauplain, Lafont etc. Beautiful romantic album. Large in-8, last leaves left blank.
