[MANUSCRITE] Silvie Clérambault
MUSIC. CLÉRAMBAULT, Louis-Nicolas (1676-1749), French composer and organist.
Musical manuscript of "Silvie. Pastorale mise en Musique par Monsieur de Clerambault en l'année 1700".
128 pp. in-folio. Speckled brown calf, ornate ribbed spine, red morocco title label, speckled edges (period binding). Rubbing to binding.
Chaconne obviously unpublished, absent from the BNF catalog.
This may be an early version of Clérambault's pastorale entitled "Le Triomphe d'Iris", dated 1706. This long piece was divided into several scenes set against a bocage backdrop and featured two shepherd couples, Daphnis and Sylvie, Tircis and Philis.
Signed "de Regnauld" at the bottom of the first page.
