[MANUSCRIT D'HORLOGERIE] R. QUESNEL - Interesting watchmaking course, entirely handwritten and illustrated with figures, dated 1894, taught at the Ecole Nationale d'Horlogerie, this is the album of the student R. Quesnel. It is divided into the following sections: Engrenages comprising approx. 60pp. Unnumbered with 18 beautiful full-page out-of-text figures, Du pendule comprising 32pp with some in-text figures, Mécanique with 42pp. Including some in-text figures, Escapements with 35pp. Including some in-text figures, Ancre de côté, Ancre mixte (ancre sans renversement escapement) et ancre anglais comprising some ten pages with a few sketches on loose leaves, Chronographe, chronographe à pointage de Mr. Foucher et seconde indépendante (approx. 10pp. for these three parts), Du rhabillage: important part of 47pp with in-text figures, and finally several pages of various sketches on loose leaves interspersed between the last blank pages. The whole is bound in a handsome oblong album, large in-4, in red percaline, titled R. Quesnel on the spine and Ecole d'Horlogerie on the front cover, binding soiled and damaged at one corner and on the spine, binding solid nevertheless, the interior on the other hand is very fresh, in perfectly legible writing.
