André DESLIGNIERES and Francis GUYONNET - Mariniers de Loire: Woodcut matrices Interesting and rare set of 19 woodcut matrices used to illustrate the book "Mariniers de Loire" by Francis Guyonnet, published in 1929 by Imprimerie de la Nièvre. All the matrices are in good condition, with a few bumps to some. Enclosed is a list of the titles of each matrix, with the title "La Loire" and signed with the pseudonym Yaudy (Francis Guyonnet). André Deslignières and Francis Guyonnet are two of Nevers' leading regionalist artists, the former known for having illustrated a number of well-known authors of the first half of the 20th century, in close collaboration with several major art publishers.
