[INCUNABLE] Michael WOLGEMUT - Liber Chronicarum - Illustrated folio page in full color. Very attractive page from the famous incunabulum "La chronique de Nuremberg" also known by its Latin name "Liber Chronicarum" published in 1493 in Nuremberg. This folio, number XX, features a title, pagination and text in Latin on two columns with three illuminated initials, as well as the hand-enhanced woodcut in full color. The work represents a turning point in book illustration, featuring real artists, allowing us to glimpse the expressive possibilities of woodcutting. Michael Wolgemut (Nuremberg 1434-1519), best known for having taught the young Albrecht Dürer, produced an illustration of great importance. Size: 38.5 x 25 cm at sight. Modern frame.
