NOTICE
The Calatrava is one of Philippe Patek's most emblematic watches, created in 1932. It takes its name from the Knights of Calatrava, a Spanish chivalric order founded in the 12th century, which was given to the brand to symbolize its values of elegance, tradition and sophistication.
Calatrava watches were originally designed for Swiss army officers, but soon became very popular with the general public.
The Calatrava is all the more symbolic in the history of the Philippe Patek brand, since it was created in the same year that brothers Jean and Charles Stern acquired a stake in the company. This watch enabled them to make a 360° turn: the brand best known for its gusset watches produced this wristwatch for the first time.
