Eighteenth-century Jansenist binding in hazel-colored calf with friezes and title in gilt on spine, unghiatura à dentelles, red boards (back plate detached, stain to front plate). Possession note to title page. Rare first edition that also describes the trial and death of Jeanne d'Arc. Also in the lotRerum Gallicarum byBeaucaire de Péguillon in the 1625 Lyon edition with large engraved vignette on title page printed in red and black within parchment binding but defects and signs of restoration to first and numerous endpapers.
