[Beccaria]. Specimen with barbs of the fifth edition again corrected and augmented Dei delitti delle pene by Cesare Beccaria in the Harlem, ma Livorno publication of 1766 with 218 pages and engraved allegorical antiporta which on page 219 contains the "Reply to a writing entitled Note ed osservazioni sul libro deidelitti, e delle pene." Also in the lot is the text "coll'aggiunta del commentario alla detta opera di M. de Voltaire" in Mainardi's Milan edition of 1801 and a copy with barbs of the first complete edition of Cesare Beccaria's Ricerche intorno alla natura dello stile in the 1822 publication of Classici Italiani.
