Figured frontispiece concavallotenuto by the bridle by a young horseman framed in an architectural frame engraved in copper by Lapi and 2 fold-out plates outside text (tear to both plates, few browning.) Coeval binding in gilt-framed buff with gilt frame to plates, friezes and title in gilt to spine, red boards (lacks on spine). First edition of this treatise expounding "a new method, by which even young men of tender age in a short time, with ease and with certainty of success, and without the least danger may reduce any horse to obedience."
