Second 17th-century edition following Wechel's 1631 edition. An early version was published about 1489 entitled "Liber Marescalciae equorum." The work by Rusio, who was a veterinarian at the court of Napoleon Orsini, was used as an essential source for the veterinary treatise in CatalanLlibre de la menescaliadiManuel Díez of Calatayud, who presented it toAlfonso V the Magnanimous, King of Naples.
