Typographic mark to title page (reinforcement to inner margin of last two papers, restoration to a woodworm hole in white margin of last three papers). Coeval vellum binding, traces of 2 endpapers and vertical manuscript title to spine.
First edition dedicated to the sack of Rome in 1627 and composed by César Grolier, son of the famous bibliophile Jean Grolier.
