Antiporta with author's portrait engraved by Raffaello Morghen (sporadic flowering.) Hardy signed amateur binding in red morocco with small iron gilt friezes, gilt and marbled edges, nailing à dentelles(few traces of use). Exemplar truffé and enriched with two portraits of this splendid edition of theDecamerone not to be confused with the quarto and octavo editions. Work printed in the typefaces of FirminDidot, complete with the Life of the Poet edited by Filippo Villani. (2)
