Crusca typographical mark to title page printed in red and black, portrait of the author designed by Pignatta and engraved by Gregori historiated initials, engraved headpieces and endpapers (minor defects.) Coeval binding in mute hardback with manuscript title to spine.
Specimen with beards and partly closed sheets of this first edition printed on strong paper. The work also includes Bacchus in America dithyrambic composition in praise of chocolate colle notes made to the same by Doctor Giuseppe Bianchini of Prato. Also in the lot are Perlone Zipoli's Il Malmantile of 1676, Poesie de' signori Accademici Infecondi di Roma of 1678, and D. Angelo Maria Arcioni's Ode of 1678.(4)
