In 4° (248 x 195 mm). 55 aquatint plates, most of which are finely hand-colored (defect in white margin of three plates.) Coeval binding in green half morocco with corners, friezes and title in gilt on spine, marbled edges. Very fresh copy with beautifully colored plates in this first edition. Le Vacher de Charnois was a noted dramatist of the period. (2)
