Giardini, John. Miscellaneous drawings. Rome, 1714. In 2nd (415 x 265 mm). 2 tomes in one volume. 2 frontispieces, two dedicatory plates, and 100 full-page etchings (marginal flaws, some fascicles detached.) Coeval binding in half hazel calf with corners and marbled paper (tears and missing).
The highly decorative plates depict chalices, candlesticks, incense burners, ornamental vases, coffee pots, and other ornaments designed by Giardini, who, as the title states, was a silversmith in the Apostolic Palace, and a founder of the Reverend Chamber. Rare.
