Allegorical frontispiece, engraved vignette on title page printed in red and black, vignette of the dedicatee, and 160 engraved figures on 43 plates (a few plates with tear in white margin.) Coeval leather binding with gilt friezes on spine (defects and missing).
First French edition of the work published in 1690 in Latin, which also contains figures of phallic lamps.
