Important collection of 62 magazines containing over 100 issues of Eroica, a fundamental illustrated monthly of the early 20th century founded and edited by Ettore Cozzani in La Spezia. The magazine aimed to enhance Italian creative forces in every aspect of art and literature, placing great care on the editorial layout starting with the choice of hand-pulled paper. Absolutely extraordinary was the presence, for many issues, of the original envelopes with which they were to be mailed. In addition to the sought-after issues 235/36/37 devoted to D'Annunzio, included in the lot are issues concerning Pelizza da Volpedo, Gaetano Previati, Bistolfi, Ferrazzi, Ettore Tito, Mascherini, Vittore Grubicy, Toschi, Libero Andreotti and many others, forming a fine collection of this magazine that is rightly considered the most illustrious and significant ever devoted to woodcuts in Italy.
