Gard Sivik. Complete set of 33 issues, published in 29 issues at Brasschaat/ Antwerp and The Hague between March 1955 and February 1964. Originally founded by Gust Gils, Hugues C. Pernath, Paul Snoek, Tone Brulin, Simon Vanloo and Herman Denkens, later joined by Armando, Simon Vinkenoog, Cees Buddingh and others. Illustrations by Asger Jorn, Dan Van Severen, Maurice Wyckaert, Gust Gils and others. In addition to its role as a literary magazine, Gard Sivik quickly became a forum that gave place to numerous avant-garde groups that were allowed to amaze the world at the time. Supplemented with a few extras such as the announcement of the "Dada funeral" at the Stedelijk Museum of Amsterdam, December-February 1958-59, in No. 12, the commemoration of the murder of Patrice Lumumba, No. 20, a pamphlet, printed recto/ verso against the judicial conviction of SPUR (No. 26), the rare and very fragile bellyband (double) to No. 27. With the usual discoloration of some covers to the first issues. Exceptional set.
