Castelli saucer, Gentili workshop, mid-18th century Majolica. 16.5 cm diameter. Conservation: very good. Modern wooden frame. Small round earthenware dish decorated on the brim with plastic scrolls with flowered festoons held up by winged putti, on a yellow background, while the central medallion houses a gallant scene with a young woman playing a guitar next to her beloved. Scenes of modern love life are not uncommon in 18th-century castle production.
