Savona undercup, second half of the 17th century Grand-fired majolica in cobalt blue monochrome. Mark: coat of arms of Savona in blue. Dimensions: height 4.5 cm, diameter 33.2 cm. Conservation: small chipping to rim@@@ on verso firing defect, insignificant felting at 5 o'clock. Decorated with "orientalizing or tapestry" motif that sees scattered, on slightly blued glaze, floral bulbs, leafy tufts, butterflies and small insects. On the brim two cottages, a sailboat, and a small moon enrich it, while the background houses two galleons at sea. On the verso flowering and leafy shoots
