Map "Australia with the British Settlements", around 1835
Copper engraving of a detailed map of Australia with inset maps of Swan River, New South Wales and Van Diemen's Land, hand-colored, framed in a wooden frame with passe-partout behind glass. Dimensions: frame dimensions approx. 49 x 42 cm, mat approx. 36.5 x 28 cm. Good condition with traces of age, slight staining. John Lothian (1802-1846), Edinburgh, was a bookseller, stationer, publisher of globes and maps and geographer.
