Artist information: Helmut Andreas Paul Grieshaber, German graphic artist and painter (1909 Rot an der Rot to 1981 Eningen unter Achalm) , studied at the Reutlingen School of Applied Arts, 1926-27 apprenticeship as a typesetter in Reutlingen and at the same time studied calligraphy in Stuttgart until 1928, 1928-31 study visits to London and Paris, then study trips to Egypt and Greece, 1933-45 banned from working, 1951-53 teacher at the Bernstein School near Sulz am Neckar, 1955-60 professor and successor to Erich Heckel at the Karlsruhe Academy, received numerous prizes and honors, participated in Documents I, II and III, worked in Eningen under Achalm and Reutlingen, source: Wikipedia, Vollmer and the Internet.
