Fritz Boehle (1873 -1916), Wine festival, 1896
Etching, framed in a passepartout behind glass in a wooden frame. Depiction of a densely populated square with various activities of a festival. Wine is being drunk from a barrel in the center, dancers can be seen in the background. Signed lower right: F. Boehle, 1896. Dimensions: frame approx. 71 x 57 cm, mount approx. 51.5 x 39 cm. In good condition with traces of age and use, slightly stained. Fritz Boehle (1873 Emmendingen - 1916 Frankfurt am Main) was a German painter, graphic artist and sculptor. He was a student of Hasselhorst at the Städel in Frankfurt and W. Diez in Munich.
