KARAS ANTON (1906-1985) Austrian zither player and composer, best known for his famous soundtrack to the British film noir The Third Man (1949). Signed 4 x 6 photograph of Karas seated in a half-length pose at the table of a Viennese coffee house, playing his zither. In the immediate background appears a mural on the wall depicting Orson Welles on costume as Harry Lime from The Third Man. Signed by Karas in blue ink with his name alone to the lower white border.
