A Near Pair of Fine Quality 19th Century Nottinghamshire Yew-wood Decorative Splat Windsor Armchairs attributed to the Worksop area, Circa 1820-80. The hoop backs enclosing an elaborately shaped & pierced centre splat flanked by eight spindles; four either side, with three further tapered underarm spindles and a decorative end post of regional turned design each end. The arm hoop cut with a notch below scroll ends. The elm seat standing on ring moulded baluster legs leading down to ball shaped feet and united by a crinoline stretcher, approx 36½'' (93 cm) high, 21½'' (55 cm) wide, the seat 17½'' (45 cm) high.**
