´Samedi´), to Henry Guillaume, in French. The artist confirms an appointment and apologises to his friend for having kept him waiting so long, explaining
´j´ai ete et je suis terriblement pris´ (Translation:
´I have been and am terribly busy´), and further offers another apology,
´Excusez-moi aussi aupres d´Albert - je n´ai pu assister a l´inauguration de son exposition je sais qu´elle a tout le succes qu´elle merite´ (Translation:
´ I also apologise to Albert - I was unable to attend the opening of his exhibition, and I know that it is as successful as it deserves to be´) and concludes by sending his warmest congratulations. Hand addressed by Steinlen to the verso. A few small areas of paper loss to the left edge and with a neat split to the central horizontal fold (repaired with tape to the verso). G
