A.L.S., Victor Hugo, two pages, 8vo, n.p., [Paris], n.d., `Thursday, 4h in the evening´, [c.1837-1839] , to Monsieur de Salvandy, on the printed stationey of the "Cabinet du Ministre - Ministère de l´instruction Publique", in French. Je voulais aussi redire à Monsieur Salvandy combien je suis tout à lui "ex intimo corde"´ (Translation: " I was hoping to meet the Minister of Public Education today, and I am very angry with the Chamber for depriving me of this pleasure that is so lively and real for me. I wanted to add to the names that I already thought it necessary to submit to Mr. de Salvandy the name of Mr. Robelin, an architect of very distinguished merit and very practical talent, who has done excellent work in many cathedrals. and which would, I believe, be highly useful to the committee. I also wanted to tell Mr. Salvandy again how much I am all his "ex intimo chord") Overall water stains and age wear. Slightly trimmed bottom edge.
