(1) by various novelists, writers, poets and playwrights etc., comprising Jean Anouilh, Arthur Miller, Erskine Caldwell, Ira Levin, Gladys Bronwyn Stern, Osbert Sitwell (signed in later years, and with the signature of James Hadley Chase to the verso), John Masefield, and Archibald MacLeish (T.L.S., agreeing to sign a book for his correspondent, 1962).
