Wooden presentation trunk lined with red silk velvet, trimmed with gilded metal braid (brocade?). The lid reveals a series of compartments, including two rectangles, an oval, four octagons and nine circles. The front opens into a leather-covered drawer with a gilded background, decorated with flowering stems and foliage. It is fitted with fixed side handles and drop handles on the front.
