Rare and elegant curved game table with European varnish decoration on a black background. The rectangular, reversible top features two decorated sides, the first with a a checkers game bordered by a frieze and the second with a trictrac game sheathed in its original leather with a brown background decorated in red and green. He discovers a rare game of Goose in two versions, recounting "l'Histoire chronologique des Rois de France depuis le Roy Pharamond jusqu'au Roy Louis XV" and "les Principaux Événements arrivés en France depuis l'Etablissement de la Monarchie jusqu'à présent". The top and belt are adorned with a beautiful European varnish decoration of butterflies, flowering stems and foliage. It stands on cambered legs terminating in chased and gilded bronze foliate sabots fitted with castors.
