Head of St. John the Baptist The piece that occupies this catalog is a work very close to the production of Sebastián de Llanos Valdés (circa 1605 - 1677). Spanish Baroque painter, active in Seville, where he was probably born, and disciple according to Ceán Bermúdez of Francisco Herrera el Viejo. The author was especially characterized by a pictorial theme with much devotion in Seville: the severed heads of martyr saints. We find great similarities with the Head of St. Paul made in 1670 of the Collegiate Church of the Savior of Seville. Oil on canvas 40 x 32 cm.
