ERRATUM: vehicle sold under designation
It was at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1999 that Audi unveiled the sporty version of its successful compact, the A3; named S3 and available only as a 3-door, it was distinguished from the A3 by its body kit, 7-inch Avus aluminium wheels, S3 logo on the radiator grille, rear spoiler, twin tailpipes and lower ground clearance
High-performance engine with 5 valves per cylinder, producing 210 hp in its first version (then 225 hp)
This is one of the first S3s, 210 hp, in an elegant black-on-black configuration; it has 156,000 original km and is fully
documented with its service book and invoices tracing its history
The car is in very good general condition, ready to drive, with a recent oil change to the Haldex (4-wheel drive system) at Audi and alignment, new shock absorbers and brakes and various stab bar silent-blocks.
A collector’s item in terms of power and a rising price for the first S3s, whose 210 hp engine (code APY) is reputed to be more reliable; buy it before anyone else!
