A PAIR OF ARCHAISTIC BRONZE EWERS, JUE
China, Qing dynasty
The two ewers with a shape clearly inspired by similar bronze ritual containers of the Shang dynasty, supported by three feet and with a wide ship-like mouth with two pinnacles, with an ear handle coming from an animal head, the body with an incised decoration also of archaic inspiration, an incised inscription near the handles.
