Wood-engraved fleurons, one entablature, initials and endpapers. One copper-engraved vignette by Gravelot repeated in both volumes. With the box mentioned by Tchemerzine on folio N3 of volume I COLLATION: t. I: (2) ff. 11-302 pp, (1) f.; t. II: (2) ff. 252 pp. ILLUSTRATION: 8 copper engravings, here in first printing with the pontuseaux perpendicular to the rest of the quires (cf. Tchemerzine), and conforming to Henry Harrisse's remarks. CONTEMPORARY BINDINGS. Marbled calf, cold fillet framing the boards, long gilt spines, red edges.
