SEVEK (1918-1994) , Portrait de femme, oil on panel, sbg, 1961, 30X25 (After studying at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, Sevek illustrated the Yalta Accords in his paintings and also worked for Metro Goldwinn Meyer, before finally settling in the village of Eze. The influence of Pierre Boulez's music led him to abandon the figurative for abstraction, giving particular importance to the touch, with its pauses and rhythm.
