Portrait of a lady Monogram H P and date 1906 at lower left Oil on canvas, 208X122 cm While finding French influence in some details, the character of the draftsmanship suggests the hand of an Italian author and points to close similarities with the works of Romantic painters. The large work is extremely refined and shows a fine execution, dictated by the search for detail in the figure, while the background remains in shadow from which, however, a floral composition can be glimpsed.
