In this watercolour, Eduard Bargheer, the Hamburg painter, for whom the Mediterranean island of Ischia had been a travel destination and ultimately his adopted home since 1935, presumably depicts the island's landmark, the Epomeo, in spring-like colors. Watercolor over pencil on wove paper. Signed and dated. Mounted in dots to underlying mat, free-standing under linen mat and framed under glass. - In very good condition overall.
