Classical Modernism Pfeiffer, Henri o.T. 1931. Mixed media on wove cardboard. Visible dimensions 24.5 x 18 cm. Monogrammed, dated. Firmly mounted on light card (here inscribed "Pfeiffer" 1931 Aquarelle" verso and stamped "Galerie du Pont Royal HOENIGSBERG" several times), mounted under passepartout and framed under glass. - Sporadically with quite inconspicuous trace stains, no retouching visible under UV. Good overall. Experimental composition in delicate coloring. Pfeiffer was a student at the Bauhaus in Dessau under Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee. Alongside his studies, he spent time at the Hochschule für Chemie in Bonn, which inspired him to develop highly experimental techniques. Mixed media on wove card. Monogrammed and dated.
