Ausgezeichneter Guss mit spannungsreich strukturierter Oberfläch Contemporary Art Lehnen, Maria o.T. (Idol). 1989. cast iron. 40 x 7.5 x 7.5 cm. Monogrammed, dated and numbered under the base. - With probably intended corrosion in places. Overall very good. Excellent cast with excitingly structured surface design. One of 5 examples. - Probably a work from the cycle "Wachstumszeiten", which Lehnen worked on in 1989. - Born in Lobberich in 1949, the artist Maria Lehnen studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and was a master student of Karl Bobek. When the artist herself talks about her works, she likes to avoid using excessive vocabulary. "In the end, they have more to say than I do anyway. You have to be able to listen to them" (Speen, "Die künstlerischen Kraftakte von Maria Lehnen". In: Kunst Köln, 3/90, p. 51). Iron casting.
