Pop Art Indiana, Robert 10 color silkscreens. In: Numbers, 1968. Each on firm wove paper. Each approx. 23 x 19.5 cm (25 x 21 cm). Bound in original brochure and slipcase. - Only sporadically with small and extremely inconspicuous pressure marks (imprint of the opposite, coarse-grained paper on which the accompanying poems by Robert Creeley are printed), the spine of the brochure minimally browned, the slipcase somewhat rubbed. Overall in very good condition. Extremely splendid and colorful as well as velvety impressions, each with narrow margins. One of 2500 copies of the 1st version. - Published by Edition Domberger, Stuttgart and Galerie Schmela, Düsseldorf. Printed by Domberger, Stuttgart (serigraphs) and Dr. Cantz'sche Druckerei, Stuttgart (text). With an introduction by Dieter Honisch. - "Creeley dedicated his "Numbers" to Indiana. In 1965 Indiana in turn developed the characteristics of these "Number Paintings", which inspired Creeley to write his poems in 1967 and 1968." Both the artists "... represent an American generation that has done away with the self-coding that was in vogue in the fifties, and they take a new approach toward reality.
