Signed and dated. Typographically inscribed verso "Exil, Paul-Lincke-Ufer 44A, Tel. 6127037". Mounted in spots on red card and framed under glass. - Very good overall. Expressive drawing made by Dieter Roth on the reverse of a business card of the "Exil" bar. Rare. The Exil was the most important artists' bar in Germany at the time and attracted not only artists, but also musicians such as Chet Baker, David Bowie, film stars such as Romy Schneider and directors such as Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Martin Scorsese. The artist Dieter Roth was a regular guest, producing around 1000 different business cards at the time, each of which he signed himself. These are rarities, as the majority of the business cards distributed are no longer known to be in his possession. Pencil and felt-tip pen on light wove board. Signed and dated.
