Inscribed in an unknown hand and with two barely legible collector's notes. - Good condition. Excellent and strong impression. The almost full-format image with wide margins. Rare. Lloyd George, actually David Llyod George, was a British Prime Minister. He was elected to this office in 1916, while the First World War was raging. In 1919, he was one of the "Big Four" who negotiated the Peace of Versailles at the Paris Peace Conference. - Emil Orlik repeatedly dealt with the events and protagonists of the First World War. As a battle painter, the artist was directly involved in the fighting. He portrayed George in 1915 before his election as Prime Minister. Lithograph on wove paper. Signed, dated and titled. Inscribed by another hand and with two hardly legible collector's note`s. - Good condition. Excellent and strong print. The almost format filling depiction with wide margins. Rare.
