Maeght, Paris 1956, printed by Mourlot. - Second edition with the artist's facsimile diaries from 1917 to 1947 and the extension to 1955, containing his famous aphorisms and thoughts on art. The originals calligraphed and illustrated by Braque. The sheets artfully combine image and text and were published shortly before the major retrospective at the MoMA in New York in 1949.
