Theory of weaving

Important manuscript of over 400 pages of a complete weaving theory course, dating from the early 20th century, for use in a workshop in the Lyon region. Written on squared paper, the handwriting is perfectly legible and includes everything to do with weaving: the history of silk, its conditioning, the breakdown of fabrics and weaves, charting, the assembly and description of the parts of a mechanical loom, etc. It includes numerous drawings, diagrams and fabric samples.
